PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) is the most commonly used plastic material for the manufacturing of plastic pipe. It has a high tensile strength and is stronger and more rigid than most other polymers. 

Common joining methods include solvent cementing, threading, or flanging. PVC has been used successfully in a wide variety of applications from residential and irrigation water systems, to food and chemical processing systems
