American Tank Company's open top, heavy-duty crosslink polyethylene (Poly) mixing tanks are one piece molded from tough cross-link polyethylene for maximum strength and durability. Tremendous chemical and corrosion resistance makes these tanks an ideal choice for secondary containment, winemaking, food processing, aquaculture and various other mixing applications.
These special heavy-duty tanks will safely handle liquids with specific gravity up to 2.0, weighing up to 16.5 pounds per gallon. The molecular structure of crosslink polyethylene makes it ideal for use with certain caustics, acids, and chemicals. Natural opaqueness allows for easy viewing of liquid level. Black opaque color is available by special order and helps prevent the growth of algae in water applications.
American Tank Company's poly tanks are UV stabilized and will not breakdown under harsh outdoor weather conditions and are designed to withstand temperatures up to 120º F, and peak temperatures up to 140º F. To insure the highest quality, all of American Tank’s open top poly tanks have been manufactured according to ASTM D1998-93 standards.
American Tank Company supports the manufacturer’s 3-year warranty dependent on the chemical compatibility of the intended contents with the tank materials.
