 American Tank's open top, cone bottom polyethylene (poly) tanks are designed for a variety of applications including mixing, settling, and storage of highly viscous solutions. The conical shaped bottom helps settle out solids and the addition of a bottom drain fitting allows for fast, complete drainage.
The cone bottom shape also aids in keeping solids in suspension by incorporating an optional mixer or re-circulating pump. The tank lip is designed with a flange to accept a ''shoebox'' type lid. Due to the wide range of applications and for added flexibility, tank fittings must be ordered separately by specifying the size and location of the fittings according to your system design.
American Tank’s cone bottom poly tanks are molded of rugged, high-density polyethylene and are both impact and chemical resistant. These linear poly tanks are molded from 100% FDA approved materials and are therefore excellent for safe storage of food products because polyethylene will not impart any taste or residue. These tanks are designed for sustained temperatures up to 120º F, and peak temperatures up to 140ºF. Steel cone bottom tank stands, available with or without agitator mounts, are designed for durability and easy content dispensing.
American Tank Company supports the manufacturer’s 1-year limited warranty dependent on the chemical compatibility of the intended contents with the tank,
and tank fitting materials.
Due to the nature of the rotational molding process, dimensions may vary from what is published and shown on the referenced drawings.
During the delivery process, tanks can pass between several docks and trucks on their way from the factory to the customer. Though not a guarantee, tank wrap “helps” to protect the tanks from getting scuffed and dirty. The best way to avoid cosmetic damage is to set up a will call at the factory and personally handle the tanks yourself.
