American Tank Company's vertical linear and crosslink polyethylene (Poly) storage tanks are most frequently used for safe, reliable storage of fertilizers, chemicals, food products, potable water, gray water, and a wide variety of other purposes. These tanks are seamless, one-piece molded, have exceptional chemical & impact resistance and are UV stabilized for use in harsh outdoor environments. Available in a broad range of shapes and sizes, vertical poly storage tanks can be supplied in two wall ratings: Standard weight tanks will safely handle liquids with a specific gravity up to 1.5, or weighing up to 12.5 pounds per gallon. Special heavy-duty tanks will safely handle liquids with a specific gravity up to 2.0, or weighing up to 16.5 pounds per gallon. The molecular structure of crosslink polyethylene makes it ideal for use with certain caustics, acids, and chemicals. Chemical compatibility must be verified for intended use. Linear poly tanks are molded from 100% FDA approved materials for safe storage of food products and crosslink polyethylene will not impart any taste or residue, rust, chip, peel or corrode. Maximum sustained service temperature must not exceed 120º F. Maximum peak temperature must not exceed 140º F. American Tank Company's vertical poly storage tanks can be placed on any flat, firm, level surface for simple installation. Lifting lugs are provided for easy lifting of empty tank and for seismic securing of tank to the ground with rope or cable, (Lugs provided on 1100 gallon, 1600 gallon & larger tanks) Due to the wide range of applications and for added flexibility, tank fittings for American Tank Company's vertical linear and crosslink poly tanks must be ordered separately by specifying size and location of fittings according to your system design. American Tank Company supports the manufacturer’s 5-year warranty dependent on the chemical compatibility of the intended contents with the tank and fitting gasket materials.
Due to the nature of the rotational molding process, dimensions may vary from what is published and shown on the referenced drawings.
During the delivery process, tanks can pass between several docks and trucks on their way from the factory to the customer. Though not a guarantee, tank wrap “helps” to protect the tanks from getting scuffed and dirty. The best way to avoid cosmetic damage is to set up a will call at the factory and personally handle the tanks yourself. |
