Posted - 02/21/2006 : 07:24:58 If your getting gravel in your system, how about a lake strainer. I can't remember if your using a submersible or not. If you are, I have a deal for you. The sub can go into the lake strainer to keep out the big pieces at least.

Posted - 02/20/2006 : 10:58:51 I have to agree with that. I know you treat people fairly.
I have an idea APW has already done that. They are kind of distributor, dealer, sales and manufacturer all in one if I remember correctly. I bought my mineral extractor from them and I believe they invented that also.

Posted - 02/19/2006 : 12:00:14 Bob, since I sold Jim the system, including a turbidity filter, chlorinator, mixing tank, Centaur filter and UV light, you know he got rock bottom pricing with unbeatable service after the sale.
It was my idea, although he modified it, as to how to prevent his pump out in the river from sucking sand and stones. I shoulda patented it...

Posted - 02/17/2006 : 08:42:34 I think you lost me on that one.
I'm not sure what a swirl tank is or the 400 chlorinator.
Your doing something far different that I am used to. I do well water treatment not lakes and streams. That's a whole different ball of wax.
David is the expert on that.

Posted - 02/16/2006 : 12:19:48 If you put chlorine in that bladder tank, you will probably destroy the bladder in short order Jim.
You should be using a galvanized tank or some other type of pneumatic tank that chlorine won't eat up in a short time. A bladder tank is not a retention tank anyway and it is not used for contact time for chlorine. Most retention tanks are waterlogged and the water enters and exits in two locations making the mixing easier.
I have an idea about how much you laid out for that big Well X Trol, it would be a shame to destroy it so quick. It should be just after the pump and before the chlorine.
