When I turn my washer on to a medium or high load, before it can finish filling it spits out brown water, cuts off by itself (I have checked other faucets and those too are not working) and then when it comes back on it spits black sediment into the washer and then runs brown murky water, the sediment is then in my sinks and my toilets. We have also noticed while this is happening the pressure in the pressure tank is low and there is a clicking noise in the box in front of the pressure tank. Any ideas??? My husband was going to check the water level of the well which is approx 550 ft deep over the weekend. Anything else we could be looking for. We did replace the well pump around 6 yrs ago and we have only been in our house for a total of 12 yrs. Thanks.

What type of water treatment do you have?

Andy Christensen, CWS-II

Going cheap can be very costly.
