My 2 story home is located on grade just below municipal reservoir and pressure is very low. Currently have old version of an amtrol Pressuriser type set up similar to RP-10HP (with gould 1/2 hp pump and well-trol 15 gal 38psi tank ). I am experiencing rust and sediment in tap water which is quickly clogging my kitchens reverse osmosis prefilter. I think cast iron pump housing and storage tank corrosion may be to blame. In addition Pump is very noisy and cycles often, usually instantaneously with any water use, and as long as water is used, so not sure what is the need for the 38 psi tank serves. I am thinking of replacing system, not sure if Davey BT 20-40 tankless booster could work in my situation, or do i need to stick with a tank system like new amtrol RP-10HP pressuriser that now has stainless pump housing.

Well, honestly it largely depends on how often you want a pump to run and whether or not you have a lot of drip type systems such as Softeners/RO units/Full house humidifiers and so on. The Davey pump is a less expensive and more consistent pressure alternative to a jet pump/pressure tank system. While the jet pump/pressure tank could handle a larger payload and run less often it would be close to twice as expensive and the maintenance would be more.
