The conical shaped bottom helps settle out solids while a bottom drain fitting allows for fast, complete drainage. The cone bottom shape also aids in keeping solids in suspension by incorporating a mixer or re-circulating pump. American Tank Company's cone bottom poly tanks, with available cone angles from 15° to 30°, are molded of rugged, high-density polyethylene and are both impact and chemical resistant. Linear poly tanks are molded from 100% FDA approved materials and are therefore safe for storage of food products because linear poly will not impart any taste or residue. American Tank Company's poly tanks are UV stabilized and will not breakdown under harsh outdoor weather conditions. Standard weight tanks (Natural Color) will safely handle liquids with a specific gravity of up to 1.5, weighing up to 12.5 Lbs. per gallon. Heavy-duty tanks (Blue Color) will safely handle liquids with a specific gravity of up to 2.0, weighing up to 16.5 Lbs. per gallon. These tanks are designed for sustained temperatures up to 120º F, and peak temperatures up to 140º F. American Tank Company's cone bottom poly stands are maintenance free, made of lightweight polyethylene and offer unequaled corrosion resistance. Steel stands are manufactured from structural steel and offer a full dish for uniform support. To insure the highest quality, all cone bottom poly tanks have been manufactured according to ASTM D1998-93 Standards. American Tank Company supports the manufacturer’s 3-year warranty dependent on the chemical compatibility of the intended contents with the tank, tank fitting, and fitting gasket materials.

During the delivery process, tanks can pass between several docks and trucks on their way from the factory to the customer. Though not a guarantee, tank wrap “helps” to protect the tanks from getting scuffed and dirty. The best way to avoid cosmetic damage is to set up a will call at the factory and personally handle the tanks yourself.
